Gift Design

A 12page document that focuses on what gifts are, and what could be introduced as Gift Design.
The starting content of the document focuses on -
What are gifts? Are they just products? Are they products with a specific motto? What kind of emotions do they convey? What kind of a relationship do they create between the gift giver and the gift receiver?
How does a gift justify the relationship between the giver and the receiver? Product emotions, product perceptions, product after-effects, etc.

Experiment*

Just some experimentation with typography:P I was just doodling while talking on the phone and the kept writing stupid things like these: Hi/No- and didnt know if it made sense but-sounds fun. Thats all the really matters:] Sometimes there is no motive in what you do, things could just be aimless and still fun!

As a part of the academic structure, byt he end of 8semesters, we have to do a 6months Final Project with a company.

I did mine with Godrej Interio,Mumbai.

The whole experience was overwhelming!

After the rough start to the project, the end result was just fantabulous and should be seen soon in the market.

After various rounds of presentations to Mr. Jamshyd Godrej : Chairman of the Board of Godrej & Boyce, to Mr. Phiroze Lam : Executive Director & President of the Company, to Mr.Anil Mathur : COO, Interio and many more, the final result was much appreciated!!!

ABSURDITY

TED Talk : Charlie Todd : The experience of absurdity


There is this thing I really liked about this talk, that is - that there doesn't have to be a point for everything. He talked about how we as kids are taught to play, but nobody questions or says why we should play, but as kids,you dont play then what do you do? Then when do you play? 


There doesn't always have to be a point, sometimes its ok not to have a point. 
I am not saying that this means: I/ we dont have a responsibility towards design, but sometimes...
Sometimes.... There could be a point by not having a point!
